Discipleship Track
Teenagers who participate in the Discipleship Track will be divided up in small groups. Each small group is made up of either Jr. High or High School teenagers from various churches. Small groups get to come up with their groupʼs name and mascot. Two adults lead each small group of teenagers. These adults are youth ministers, youth workers and volunteers who love teenagers and desire to lead them closer to God. What can you expect from your small group sessions? Active Learning
The best way for teenagers to learn is through experience. Each dayʼs lesson will be kick started by an initiative lead by trained facilitators. An initiative is an activity or challenge that intentionally creates opportunities for people to learn and grow. These initiatives will make the spiritual truth for that day come alive! Biblical Teaching We believe that “all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3.16-17). Therefore, each lesson grows out of Scripture. The activities and illustrations simply point to the basic truths of God that are found in the Bible.
Practical Application Teenagers will be given opportunities to apply what they have learned. They donʼt have to wait until they get home to begin living these truths. Small groups take time to live out these truths as they learn them. Furthermore, they will be equipped to find ways to live these truths in everyday life when they return home. The Discipleship Track is designed to strengthen, challenge and equip teenagers to let their faith invade all of their life. Through effective methods, Godʼs Truth will be planted in teenagers for life change.
